1hp 1ph or 3ph Strainer Screen (Horizontal)
PVC and High Density Polyethylene Strainer Screens: The PVC Strainer Screens are manufactured with SDR35 PVC pipe and high density polyethylene (HDPE) top and bottom sections. The screen portion is perforated with 1/2in. holes. These holes make up 37 to 40 percent of the surface area of the screen and allow for water flow while restricting debris from reaching the pump. They are designed to enclose the Stainless Steel Axial-Flow submersible pumps and help prevent debris from clogging the pump and causing motor damage. They do not impede the flow of water past the pump. CMI strongly recommends these screens in areas where debris or muck is likely to be contained in the water surrounding the pump. Strainer screens are available for either vertical or horizontal style pumps.
