The permanent feed of warmer water from the deep zone at 2-4 degrees keeps the pond free of ice around the float to a diameter of approx 7.4". Only a slight circulation capacity is required for this so that power consumption remains astonishingly low. Also the pond's temperature zones that are so important remain intact. The Icefree 20 ensures full performance to temperatures of -68Ëš F.
